The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in collaboration with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and under the aegis of Ministry of Power, Government of India is organizing one-day National Workshop on “Energy Efficiency in Buildings” on Saturday, May 20, 2017 starting at 9.30 am at Hotel Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai.
The National Workshop will have active participation from representatives of commercial buildings (including hotels, shopping complex, educational institutions etc.), banks & FIs, Central and State Public Works Departments, electricity utilities, SDAs, building equipment suppliers among others.
After the resounding success of National UJALA scheme, EESL is targeting at the immense potential for energy savings in the buildings segment. As you may be aware, EESL has been addressing energy efficiency in buildings through its innovative business models. Comprehensive retrofits integrated with state-of-the-art technology can deliver significant savings in buildings. With the Government’s focus on making our cities smart, this initiative of EESL can contribute immensely, especially in structures already established. EESL has successfully achieved energy savings to the tune of 20-25% in buildings including NITI Aayog, Barakhamba Metro Station, Coal India’s corporate office etc. These energy savings have translated to tangible cost savings in equipment maintenance.
With an aim to showcase this huge business potential in commercial buildings and create awareness on EESL’s buildings endeavor, FICCI has created this platform with the following objectives:
- Explore Present and future scenario of energy efficiency in Buildings in India.
- Understand Progress of energy efficiency building codes in various states.
- Showcase EESL’s business model in energy efficiency with special focus on Energy Monitoring system.
- Highlight EESL’s success story in buildings.
- Explore Future ESCO market potential in the buildings sector
Mr. Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines, Government of India has been invited to inaugurate the Workshop and launch the buildings dashboard on the occasion.
There are no registration fees for this National Workshop, however the seats are limited.
