FICCI TNSC is organizing the 10th Edition of TANCARE on Friday,23rd June 2017 at Hotel Hilton, Chennai. Dr. J. Radhakrishnan, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare has kindly consented to participate in the event and deliver the special address.
Healthcare has become one of India’s largest sectors - both in terms of revenue and employment. Healthcare comprises hospitals, medical devices, clinical trials, outsourcing, telemedicine, medical tourism, health insurance and medical equipment. The Indian healthcare sector is growing at a brisk pace due to its strengthening coverage, services and increasing expenditure by public as well private players.
Indian healthcare delivery system is categorised into two major components - public and private. The Government, i.e. public healthcare system comprises limited secondary and tertiary care institutions in key cities and focuses on providing basic healthcare facilities in the form of primary healthcare centres (PHCs) in rural areas. The private sector provides majority of secondary, tertiary and quaternary care institutions with a major concentration in metros, tier I and tier II cities.
The core areas of a Comprehensive Health care sector which require much attention in Tamil Nadu and nationally will encompass

FICCI Tamil Nadu, given the above background taking into consideration the evolving nature of healthcare service along with the focus areas within its vertical is organizing TANCARE 2017. TANCARE an acronym for Tamil Nadu Health Care will focus on equipping Tamil Nadu as a state to lead in the healthcare sector not only through affordable and available healthcare facilities and treatments but to transform itself technologically in providing treatment access to the entire world by equipping itself through futuristic healthcare technologies and by adopting impactful healthcare delivery systems.
The event is expected to see eminent doctors, medical sector professionals, allied healthcare professionals, specialists’ consultants, pharmaceutical drug manufacturers, medical equipment manufacturers, educationalists, healthcare consultants and others related to the growing healthcare network.
