Ministry of External Affairs, in collaboration FICCI, is organizing the 1st India-ASEAN Youth Awards as part of the commemorative year celebrations. This is planned for 24 January 2018 in New Delhi on the sidelines of the India-ASEAN Special Commemorative Summit to mark 25 years of the establishment of dialogue partnership between India and the ASEAN.
The idea of the Youth Awards is to discover the brightest and most promising young talent in India and the ASEAN countries and acknowledge young achievers under 40 years of age who have the potential to be nurtured and emerge as promising future leaders in different walks of life in India and their respective countries in the ASEAN. There will be 20 awards given in 10 categories (as included in the Background Note and Application Form attached) to such young leaders from India & ASEAN.
The Youth Awards have been positioned quite appropriately with the meteoric rise of India and the ASEAN as powerhouse of economic growth with India taking lead as the fastest growing major economy in the world. The concept of the Youth Awards is thus in harmony with the objective of offering an opportunity to the youth to grow successfully in their respective areas.
