The Information Age, also known as the Digital Age, is a period in human history characterized by the shift from traditional industry to an economy based on information technology. If we talk about technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, M2M and IoT Ecosystem, we are not talking about future, because we are in the future. These disruptive technologies, combined with the new age digital communication system, have revolutionized the business world, and are contributing massively to the socio-economic development of the society.

However, these new technologies are bringing new age challenges with them in terms of their misuse and resultant Cybercrimes. These new age technologies are pathbreaking but need to be secured for the benefit of businesses and consumers. The last two years have seen a 300% rise in Cyber Crimes in India and most physical crimes are being replaced by their online counterparts. Fortunately, as technology has advanced, so as the ability to seek out cybercrimes before they happen and protect people when they occur. But “awareness” is the key here.
