The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code has opened yet another window for investment opportunities across sectors in India. Businesses in India have embarked on a new journey of economic opportunities. Within a short span of time, some significant stressed assets have witnessed successful resolutions. This potential of stressed assets is attracting a lot of interest from domestic and global investors. To encourage greater participation of investors in stressed assets so as to make the resolution process more competitive and to ensure sustainable turnaround of stressed assets, FICCI jointly with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) and the Consulate General of India in New York is organizing a Conference on the theme Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code of India - A New Paradigm for Stressed Assets on December 5th, 2018 at New York, USA. The participants at the Conference would be institutional investors interested in opportunities in India and other stakeholders of the resolution process.
Hon'ble Finance Minister of India, Mr Arun Jaitley would inaugurate the Conference (via video conferencing).
Dr M S Sahoo, Chairman, IBBI would address the participants. Mr Sanjeev Sanyal, Principal Economic Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Government of India would also address the Conference.
A delegation of leading law firms, consultants, intermediaries and other stakeholders would help participants understand the new law and the opportunities for investment in stressed assets in India.

As part of the roadshows, Roundtables would also be organised with the Indian Regulator, leading law firms and financial intermediaries on the opportunities that IBC has created to invest in India’s robust growth story.
