FICCI is organising a seminar ‘Renewable Energy Transition for Commercial and Industrial Consumers for Eastern Region’ on November 23, 2023; 10:30 am onwards at Park Hotel, Taltala, Kolkata.

As you know, the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewables has been gaining traction over the past few years. While the central and state governments are creating conducive policies and regulations to drive renewable energy adoption, the country’s businesses are not far behind in this energy transition journey. Indian corporates are taking significant measures to increase the share of green power in their energy mix, while making commitments to assist in the transition to low-carbon energy systems.

The industrial and commercial segments consume about half of the electricity produced in the country, which means that the businesses can play an essential part in enabling the structural shift to clean power in India. Many Corporates and Industries in India have committed to adopt green energy as well as are looking for opportunities to reduce their operating costs by procuring affordable power.

In the above context, FICCI is organizing a Seminar for Eastern Region in Kolkata where Generators as well as Commercial and Industrial (C&I) consumers will share their experience of supplying / availing renewable energy power and its benefits including cost reduction followed by interactive discussion with stakeholders.
