Overview
The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, is organizing the Western Region Ministers' Conference on Civil Aviation on 25th June 2025 in Pune, Maharashtra. This conference reflects the Government's steadfast commitment to enhancing regional air connectivity, particularly in Tier II and Tier III cities, with active support from States and Union Territories. The western region - comprising Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli - offers significant opportunities for the expansion of the civil aviation sector, including the development of infrastructure and air services tailored to regional needs.
Graced by Shri Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Hon'ble Minister of Civil Aviation, and Shri Murlidhar Mohol, Hon'ble Minister of State for Civil Aviation, the conference aims to foster constructive dialogue between State Governments, industry stakeholders, and the Central Government. Discussions will focus on unlocking the potential of existing and new airports, as well as promoting helicopter services, small aircraft, general aviation, seaplanes, drones, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) activities. The event will also highlight the role of civil aviation in driving economic growth, tourism, skill development, and employment generation across the region.
