Overview
MSMEs Often dubbed as "the engine of growth," have significantly contributed to India’s development by creating employment opportunities, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, reducing regional disparities, and significantly contributing to the economic growth. Together, MSMEs account for nearly 27% of India's GDP, underscoring their vital role in driving economic growth and fostering entrepreneurship.
However, in recent times, MSMEs have also faced hardship, due to adverse global macro environment, declining exports, geo-political uncertainties, and trade barriers being put in place globally.
Therefore, to build resilience and continuous growth momentum, MSMEs must identify vulnerabilities, maintain cash flow, stay updated on regulations, take advantage of the government schemes and invest in Technology, to make them relevant and competitive both locally and globally.
