Odisha CM Inaugurates ‘Make In Odisha’ Conclave

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the second ‘Make In Odisha’ Conclave at Janata Maidan here this evening,

Addressing the gathering, Patnaik said, “I welcome all of you to the second edition of the Make In Odisha Conclave-2018. This flagship investors’ meet of the government of Odisha has come a long way from its humble beginning two years back.”

He also thanked all the industries who are contributing to the development of the state. “This expo focuses on the showcasing industrial progress of the state with most of the industries operating in the state displaying their story of the make in Odisha. I thank all the industries for their contribution to the state’s economy and wish them sustained growth,” he said.

Dedicating the Conclave to the youth mass, Patnaik said, “Odisha, the land acknowledged for its exquisite art and craft is now contributing to the growth of the nation through their skilled workforces, who are trained in various trades and have been excelling in various industries, in Odisha and beyond. These young men and women are the harbingers of the ‘I am Odisha’ campaign. I dedicate the Make In Odisha Conclave to sons and daughters of our states, who are the forces behind for the rise of Odisha as an industrial powerhouse.

“As the delegates assemble here from across the glove during the next four days, I welcome you to discover enormous business and growth opportunities that the State offers and also the aura of development that the State has seen in the past two decades,” the CM said.

Highlighting the state’s achievement, Naveen said, “Who thought that Odisha will the top Smart City of the country? Who thought Odisha will set the global standard in disaster management? Who thought Odisha will play a major role in our country’s food security? Who thought that Odisha will be noticed for lifting the maximum number of people above poverty?”

“I welcome all of you to the new Odisha. Come, join us and be a part of this transformation. I declare this expo open,” he concluded.

Patnaik inaugurated the Expo in the presence of several Odisha Ministers, MLAs, officials and delegates of both from India and abroad associated with industry.

The conclave has been designed to be a unique platform for discussing the various aspects of building the Odisha of tomorrow, will continue till November 15.

The participation of 15 departments of the State Movement, the confluence of investors, government officials and the general public makes it by far the biggest ever business event in the State.

Several noted industrialists including Reliance Group CMD Mukesh Ambani are slated to attend the event.
