'Government committed to reach public via technology'

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) along with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Union ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY), on Wednesday organized the 4th edition of Digital Rajasthan Conclave in Jaipur on Monday.

The aim of this conclave was to evaluate, analyse and promote Digital, IT & ITeS ecosystem in Rajasthan.

Chief secretary D B Gupta said, “Government is committed to reach people through technology. Our vision is to move from door step services to finger tips service.”

He also said that the recent advancement of technologies is providing a huge number of opportunities and today the focus of any service provider is on “ease of accessibility” and user convenience has become vital in every aspect.

Sessions on emerging technologies and trends, emerging cyber threats as well as on ways to have start-ups without external funding were held during the conclave.

Ambassador of Japan to India, Kenji Hiramatsu, added that India was doing exceptionally well in the field of technological advancement.

Hiramatsu said, 5G is an area where Japan will join hands with India as India is about to commence 5G services in the country.

Japan has technology whereas India has talented engineers with vast market and this collaboration will have a proving impact, he said.
