Indo-Israel focus on digital battlefield

Unmanned vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, border management and after sales support are emerging as the new focus areas of cooperation between India and Israel.
In a seminar on "India-Israel Opportunities in Defence Cooperation: Future Vectors of Digital Battlefield" organised by FICCI and SIBAT, Israel defence ministry, at the Defence Expo, Apurva Chandra, director general (acquisition) and additional secretary, department of defence, Government of India spoke about the new areas of cooperation between the two nations, highlighting that Israel had proved to be a satisfactory partner in defence deals. "All MOD contracts so far have been concluded on time and the overall experience with Israel has been highly satisfactory," he said.
Brig Gen (Retd) Yair Kulas, Director, SIBAT added that Israel was looking forward to sharing its knowledge and technology expertise in future vectors of the digital battlefield.
Dr Ron Malka, the Israeli ambassador, spoke about the need for more joint ventures between the two countries and transforming the relations between the two from buyer-seller to a strategic partnership. He also added that India and Israel are world leaders in science and technology and the "scope of cooperation between the two countries is tremendous and across multiple domains".
