We are seeking a talented and creative Social Media and Marketing Associate to lead the marketing efforts and manage the social media presence for TechEquity, a digital upskilling platform. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional content creation, communication, and graphic design skills along with a strong understanding of digital marketing to effectively convey TechEquity's mission and engage our target audience through various online channels. The role reports to the Project Manager - TechEquity Platform.


Minimum Requirement:


  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of proven work experience in managing social media accounts and communication strategies for organizations, preferably for a learning platform / initiative.
  • Experience working on global communication campaigns, especially those focused on impact and change.
  • Portfolio (previous social media content creation projects, graphic design samples, etc.)


Principal Accountabilities


1. Communication Strategy:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to promote TechEquity's objectives and initiatives.
  • Craft clear and compelling messaging to convey the platform's mission and impact to various stakeholders.


2. Social Media Management:


  • Plan, create, and schedule engaging social media content across platforms (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) to increase brand visibility and engagement.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media, maintaining a positive and informative online presence.


3. Marketing & Outreach:


  • Create outreach strategy to take the TechEquity Platform to millions of women in G20 nations by leveraging multi-stakeholder partnership including but not limited to national and state ministries, industry bodies, multilateral organizations, universities and Self-help groups.
  • Plan and execute offline marketing strategies like conferences, webinars, informational spaces to increase visibility and awareness.


4. Content Creation:


  • Produce high-quality written content, including articles, blog posts, press releases, and newsletters.
  • Create eye-catching graphics and visuals including posts, reels, etc. for social media and promotional materials.


5. Audience Engagement:


  • Identify and engage with target audiences, traditional media partners, brand advocates and influencers to expand TechEquity's online reach.
  • Foster meaningful online discussions and engagement within the tech community.


6. Analytics and Reporting:


  • Analyze social media and communication performance metrics to track the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports with key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to make data-driven improvements to future campaigns.

  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft clear and persuasive content.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Proficiency in video filming and editing.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, platforms, and best practices.
  • SEO and SEM
