Display of Defence and HADR Industry capabilities at the exhibition from 28-30 November 2022

AGRA, 29th November 2022: To synergise the experiences of our Armed Forces in Humanitarian Assistance in Disaster Relief (HADR) with friendly foreign countries, Ministry of Defence has been conducting various bilateral and multilateral exercises. Taking this process forward, FICCI is partnering with Indian Air Force in Ex SAMANVAY 2022 to showcase the capability of Indian Defence and HADR Industry to the delegation of the ASEAN Countries. This is in sync with the government policy of leveraging our efforts on Defence cooperation as an important tool of our foreign policy which can be well utilized to build friendship, prevent conflict, enhance capacity, strengthen mutual trust with friendly foreign nations.

Mr Rajnath Singh, Raksha Mantri, inaugurated the exhibition, and released FICCI book on Defence and HADR Equipment. The other senior dignitaries who accompanied the Raksha Mantri included General Anil Chauhan PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM,VSM Chief of Defence Staff  (CDS), Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC, Chief of the Air Staff; Air Marshal BR Krishna PVSM AVSM SC ADC, CISC HQIDS; Air Marshal AP Singh AVSM, AOC in C, Central Command and GOC in C who visited the Exhibition along with the visiting Delegations & Defence Attaches of the ASEAN Countries.

On 30 November 2022, the dignitaries from ASEAN Countries and officials from the Indian Armed Forces will visit the exhibition.

A total of 20 Indian industries and Start-ups including big industries and DPSUs/PSUs like Tata Advance Systems Ltd, Troop Comforts Ltd, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd and MIDANI have participated in the event.
