ISC-FICCI SANITATION AWARDS 2023 entry closes on 30th June

• Corporates, social enterprises, non-profits, financing institutions-both government and non-governmental, State missions, media and institutions, who are contributing to the sector of water, sanitation, and hygiene have opportunity to showcase their work 

NEW DELHI, 10 June 2023: The India Sanitation Coalition (ISC)-FICCI Sanitation Awards have returned for the seventh consecutive year to showcase a wide range of talents and work in the sector that have made an impact on the country’s sanitation landscape.

The awards showcase not only the excellent works in the sector but also bring to the fore newer avenues for investment and businesses, benefitting the nation and its people at large. These awards have, over the years, played a vital role in endorsing the efforts of corporates, financial institutions, start-ups, NGOs, government bodies, and many other organizations and individuals who are striving to bring about innovations into the sector impacting the developmental horizon of the country.

The uniqueness of the ISC-FICCI Awards lies in the rigorous adjudication process being followed by a panel of eminent jurors led by Padmavibhushan Dr RA Mashelkar, Ex-DG, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.

“As the Chairman of the jury right from the inception of the awards, I can proudly say that the awards have achieved a special and very high national prestige. We have so far celebrated leaders, rising stars, and organizations driving growth in the sector to achieve a cleaner, healthier, safer, and happier India. Going forward, these awards aim to proactively reach out to those unsung heroes, who have had some wonderful achievements in the sector but have never got a chance to be at the centre stage,” said Dr RA Mashelkar.

The ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards felicitate winners across the following10 categories: 1.        Best Corporate Initiative in Sanitation (CSR): Small & Large 2.        Best Non-Profit Engagement Model in Sanitation: Rural & Urban 3.        Best Communication in Sanitation: Digital & Traditional 4.        Best Innovative Financial Accessibility Model for WASH: Large financial institutions, microfinance institutions, banks, government financial institutions, etc. 5.        Best Engagement Model in Sanitation by a Social Enterprise/Start-up 6.        Special recognition award for the government—                 a) Special Recognition for the State that undertakes maximum gram panchayats under the Lighthouse Initiative (LHI)                 b) Special Recognition for the State with the highest number of ODF Plus villages within the purview of LHI 7.        Best Faecal Sludge and Septage Management (FSSM): Urban & Rural 8.        Best Skilling Initiative for Sanitation 9.        Excellence on Work for Upliftment of Sanitation Workers 10.      Women Changemakers in Sanitation
