Over his distinguished career in the Indian Administrative Service (1994 batch, Assam- Meghalaya cadre), Shri Avinash Joshi has held several pivotal assignments at both the Centre and in the states of Assam and Gujarat. At the Government of India, he has served as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (2024-2025), Managing Director in ONGC Petro additions Limited in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (2017-2019), and Director in the Department of Commerce (2012-2013). In his cadre and inter-cadre postings, he has held leadership roles including Additional Chief Secretary, Home & Political Department, Assam (2024); Principal Secretary for Health & Family Welfare, Environment & Forests, Excise, Disaster Management, Water Resources, Mines & Minerals, Sports & Youth Affairs and Public Health Engineering (2019-2024).

Earlier in his career, he served as Commissioner, Panchayats and Rural Development, Mission Director of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, and Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup and Dhubri districts in Assam. He was also District Collector and Magistrate of Sabarkantha in Gujarat and held significant assignments in education, water resources, and personnel training and gained extensive experience across governance, public administration, infrastructure, social development, and resource management.

Dr. Satyen Kumar Panda is a senior food safety professional currently serving as the Executive Director (Regulatory Compliance, TICD, Regional Office) and Advisor (Quality Assurance) at the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). He holds a Ph.D. and has a strong background in seafood quality assurance, microbial testing, and food safety standards.

Dr. Panda has been instrumental in steering FSSAI's quality assurance initiatives. He has led significant projects, including the nationwide survey on milk and milk products across 766 districts, aimed at combating adulteration and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. He is also a Member of Scientific Panel for Fish and Fishery Products, FSSAI. 

Before his tenure at FSSAI, Dr. Panda served as a Principal Scientist at the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), where he focused on seafood quality assurance, microbial challenge testing, and heavy metal contamination.  
 

Dr. Bhawana is the Director (Regulation) at the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). She holds an M.Sc. in Food Technology from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, and a Ph.D. in Dairy Chemistry from the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal.

Prior to joining FSSAI, Dr. Bhawana served for nearly 14 years at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), with expertise spanning food and agriculture standards and international relations. She managed the ISO Subcommittee on Spices, Culinary Herbs and Condiments and coordinated BIS committees on dairy products, oils and oilseeds, and stimulant foods. She has represented India at several international forums, including ISO technical committees and Codex meetings, contributing to global standards on spices, tea, cereals and pulses, oils and oilseeds. Dr. Bhawana has also completed specialized professional training as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 22000:2018 (Food Safety Management Systems), in addition to training in Laboratory Quality Management Systems and Internal Auditing in accordance with IS/ISO/IEC 17025.

Dr. Tarun Bajaj, Former Director, presently Senior Consultant, in Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. APEDA is mandated to promote and develop exports of agricultural and processed food products from India. He has more than 30 years of experience in handling exports of agricultural and processed food products including developing supply chain, quality assurance, market promotion abroad and handling marketing access issues. In the International Year of Millet 2023 he was given special responsibility to promote Millets in India and Abroad. He is doctorate in Economics, MBA & Specialized in Foreign Trade.

Mr. Hemant Malik was appointed as a Whole time Director on the Board of ITC effective August 12, 2023. He is Divisional Chief Executive of the Foods Business Division of the Company. After completing his B.A. from Delhi University and M.B.A. from the IIM, Calcutta, Mr. Malik joined ITC in 1989 and has more than 33 years of experience. Prior to becoming the Divisional Chief Executive of the Foods Business Division, he headed the Trade Marketing & Distribution ('TM&D') Vertical. He has worked across multiple businesses including Tobacco, Lifestyle Retailing and Packaged Foods.

He headed the All India Tobacco Sales function in 2001, where he contributed meaningfully to the development of the FMCG Sales Network. He assumed charge as Head of Marketing of the Foods Business in 2002. He became the Chief Operating Officer ('COO') of TM&D in 2008, where he was mandated to set up the new FMCG distribution highway.

Prashant is the General Manager, Mars Snacking, India and is a member of the commercial leadership team of Mars Snacking AMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa) region.

Prashant comes with a rich experience of more than 25 years in the FMCG sector, particularly focused on food and as described in his own words “Food is a passion for me because of how close we get to the lives of consumers”.

Prior to this role, Prashant served as the Managing Director of Kellanova South Asia. Earlier, he was with Mondelez International, where he led the Indonesia business as President and Managing Director, and previously headed the chocolates business for Mondelez in India.

His extensive experience across foods, snacks, beverages and personal care categories spans diverse markets in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa. He has also led the foods category for South Asia at Unilever, along with several senior roles in sales and marketing across Unilever’s operations in South Asia, Turkey, Africa, the Middle East, South East Asia and China.

Prashant is the Co-chair for FICCI Food processing committee; Core Group member on  CII committees.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Management in Marketing & Strategy from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Production) from Bombay University.

A Management Graduate from IRMA, Gujarat Mr. Sudhakar Rao Desai has more than 30 years of industry experience. He has been elected as the President of IVPA in September 2019. He is presently the Chairman of Agri and Food Council, Eastern India ASSOCHAM,(2019).

Mr. Desai is also an active member of Industry Trade Bodies like SEA (Solvent Extractors Association) and has served as the Director of Bombay Commodity Exchange.

He is part of the Organizing committee member of GlobOil and also a Member of Product Committee of Commodity Exchanges in India.

Prior to joining Emami Agrotech Limited as the CEO, Mr. Desai was with Bunge India Pvt. Ltd. as Director/Vice President. Earlier he worked as Chief Trader, with ITC Agrotech/ConAgra.

Mr. Sunil D'Souza has been serving as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Tata Consumer Products since April 2020. Prior to this, he held the position of Managing Director at Whirlpool India Ltd. for over four years and had a significant contribution in transforming the Whirlpool business in India. He has also worked with PepsiCo for almost 15 years, where he held various leadership positions, managing the commercial aspects of the company's food and beverage portfolio, and steering the business in a large cluster of Asian countries. Mr. D’Souza started his career with Hindustan Unilever in 1993 and has 33 years of extensive experience in the consumer products sector with a strong emphasis on strategy, growth, and execution.

In addition to his current role as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Company, he is also a Director on the Board of Voltas Limited, Tata Starbucks Limited, Tata Digital Private Limited, Capital Foods Private Limited, Organic India Private Limited and several of Tata Consumer Products' overseas subsidiaries.

Mr. D’Souza holds a degree in engineering from the University of Madras and is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C).

Rakshit Hargave is a veteran of the consumer industry with experience both in India and overseas. He has been the CEO of Birla Opus, the ambitious paint venture from Aditya Birla Group. He has also headed operations of BEIERSDORF (NIVEA) in India, Africa, ASEAN and ANZ regions.

He has worked with Hindustan Unilever as Chief Operating Officer at Lakme Lever. He was also with Jubilant Food Works, where he successfully launched the iconic Domino’s Pizza 30 minutes guarantee delivery model. Rakshit also worked with Nestle India, managing Maggi Noodles and a stint with Tata Motors post his Engineering. 

Rakshit is an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the IIT (BHU) Varanasi. He has been honoured with the Distinguished Young Alumni Award by IIT (BHU) Varanasi.

Mr. Sanjay Sharma is the CEO of Orkla India. In the last 15 years, under his leadership, Orkla’s presence in India has grown from INR 2 billion to INR 23 billion organization. He was instrumental in expanding Orkla’s footprints in India through Eastern’s acquisition in 2021. He is currently on the board of MTR Foods, Rasoi Magic, and Potful Biryani and the Chairman of the Board at Eastern Condiments and Rasoi Magic.

With a rich experience of 3 decades in the food industry, his earlier stints include some marque companies like Voltas, Colgate Palmolive India, and Dabur Foods Ltd.  At Dabur, he played a pivotal leadership role in developing their food business with brands like Real fruit juices and homemade cooking paste.  Over the last 30 years, Sanjay has been sharing his valuable insights and perspectives on various matters related to the food industry. He has also Chaired the FICCI Food Processing Committee in the past.

Mr. Tarun Arora is the President of CIFTI and CEO and Full Time Director at Zydus Wellness Limited. He has been instrumental in the turnaround and scale up of the company performance on back of innovations and has also successfully completed integration of Kraft Heinz India business with Zydus Wellness. Zydus Wellness has grown by more than 6 times under his leadership over the last 9 years.

Mr. Tarun is alumnus of Harvard (AMP) and IMT Ghaziabad (PGDBM). He has rich experience of over 25 years, having worked with several Global and Indian companies like Danone, Wipro, Bharti Walmart, Godrej and Sara Lee. He has been featured in multiple business publication on topics like strategy, brand building while also being listed amongst Young Turks by Economic Times in March 2014.

Mr. Shrikant Kanhere is the Managing Director and CEO of the company. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant with nearly three decades of experience across finance, accounts, taxation, risk management, and corporate governance. He has been associated with the Company since 2013, serving as Chief Financial Officer. He was later elevated to the role of Deputy CEO & CFO in December 2024 with expanded responsibilities beyond finance and governance. In his previous role, he also led the Flour and Sauces & Condiments businesses, driving their strategic, operational, and commercial agendas. Over his career, Mr. Kanhere has gained extensive cross-industry experience across financial planning and analysis, business partnering, corporate structuring, strategic decision-making, taxation and compliance. Prior to joining the company, he held senior leadership roles at Reliance Industries Limited and Vodafone, where he was instrumental in strengthening financial processes and governance frameworks. Mr. Kanhere brings deep financial acumen, a strong understanding of the FMCG and agri-business sectors, and proven leadership skills that have contributed to enhancing operational efficiencies and driving sustainable growth for the Company.

Anil is the President-Food Business since 2022. During his tenure as the head for Foods Business, Wipro has acquired Nirapara and Brahmins, two prominent leading brands in spices, breakfast, and ready-to-cook category. Besides this, he was driving force for Wipro entry into Traditional Indian Snacks market and has set-up a Foods Research and Innovation Centre at Wipro. Prior to his tenure in Foods, he was the head of the Consumer Care business for India and South Asia.

He joined Wipro Consumer Care in 1990 from campus. In a career spanning over 30 years, Anil has handled a variety of roles in Sales and Marketing beginning his career as a Management Trainee and rising up the ranks to head the India Personal Care Business. He is also spearheading the Company’s expansion plans in SAARC countries.

In his long stint, Anil has steered Wipro Consumer Care’s India Personal Care brand portfolio and has grown the franchise, substantially. Santoor, the flagship brand is among the top three largest selling popular soap brands in India. He is also responsible for Yardley acquisition and turnaround of the brand. Apart from Personal Care, he drives the Company’s expansion into Home Care, e-Commerce, and Consumer Lighting in India both organic and inorganic. Wipro Consumer Care is making rapid strides in liquid detergent, liquid dish wash, LED Lighting and male grooming categories in India. Anil is also instrumental in taking the Company’s flagship brand, Santoor into South Asian markets – Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Anil is an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai and holds an Engineering Degree.

Shashi Ranjan is the Managing Director of Danone India, a leading global food and beverage company. He brings over 20 years of experience in the consumer goods industry with a track record of driving transformation and building purpose-driven institutions across India and global markets. 

Shashi leads overall direction, strategy and growth for Danone in India, He is passionate about positively impacting millions of consumers across the country in alignment with Danone's mission of delivering health through food. 

Before joining Danone, Shashi held the role of President & Country Head for Sebamed India and turned it among the country's fastest-growing beauty and personal care brands. Previously he held various leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey & Company, and IBM Consulting. Earlier Shashi has worked with the Government of India in general administration and strategy roles. Shashi is an alumnus of INSEAD. 

Shashi serves on the CII (Confederation of India Industry) - National FMCG Committee and National Food Processing Committee. 

Mr. Manish brings over 30 years of experience in Manufacturing, Retail and FMCG industry and has strong expertise in customer in-sighting and setting distribution models to manage scale.

Mr. Manish has completed his Management in Marketing from IIM Lucknow in 1995 and B.Tech. from Jamia Millia Islamia Institute. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Amity University.   

Prior to joining Allana, he was associated with Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt Ltd as Managing Director.

He has also worked with companies like JK Foods, Metro Cash and Carry, Subhiksha, Marico in various Senior Leadership roles.

Jagrut Kotecha is a PepsiCo veteran with an over three-decade journey that started in 1994. In last 30 years, Jagrut has held several key positions including General Manager - Country Manager in Thailand, Vice President - Snacks Category for the India Region, where he oversaw the innovation and transformation of the company's snack product folios – Lay's and Kurkure, to turn them better suited for Indian consumers, and led the launch of Doritos, in 2017. In 2019, he took a wider responsibility as the Vice President Global Affordable Platforms – Foods and then served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for AMESA, before assuming the role of CEO for PepsiCo India and South Asia.

Abhay Parnerkar is the Chief Executive Officer of Godrej Foods, a position he has held since 2022. He leads the company’s strategy and growth agenda, with a focus on building a high-performing, future-ready organization.
Abhay brings over two decades of leadership experience across the consumer foods and beverages industry, with a track record of delivering strong results in diverse and competitive markets. He has lived and worked across three continents, leading teams, and businesses in more than 20 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Before joining Godrej Foods, Abhay spent nearly 18 years at The Coca-Cola Company, where his last role was heading operations for diverse markets in Southeast Europe. His expertise spans sales, distribution, marketing, business development, and M&A. Abhay holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

Sunil heads Regulatory Affairs at Reliance Consumer Products Limited, Bengaluru, INDIA

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) is set with a vision to build India’s largest Consumer Brands organization. Since its establishment in 2022, the company has introduced products in major FMCG categories such as Beverages, Confectionary, Processed Food, Staples, Ready to Eat and Ready to Cook Snacks and Home & Personal Care.

Before his current assignment Sunil, led Global Regulatory Advocacy for The Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta, USA providing leadership and governance to create enabling regulatory environment and harmonization across the TCCC’s Business Units globally. He represented the company at Codex Alimentarius Commission and its key committees.  Before his US assignment Sunil had decades of experience at Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia and Hindustan Lever Limited in Regulatory, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Functions.

Sunil is a postgraduate in Food Technology from UDCT, Mumbai and completed PG Program in General Management from IIM, Indore.

Dr. Jasvir Singh is currently the Director, Global Regulatory with International Flavors & Fragrances and also the Chair of FICCI Codex Cell. Prior to this, he worked in the areas of Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs with organizations like Mondelez (Cadbury), ITC, SGS, Food Research and Analysis Centre and Jagatjit Industries.

He has also provided his expertise in Laboratory Quality Management Systems to Government of Vietnam, as a Technical Expert for FAO. He is a member of various Committees/ Task Forces of both Government as well as Industry Associations.  His areas of interest include regulatory and public policy frameworks, in the areas of science, technology and public health.

He obtained his Master’s Degree in Microbiology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar,  followed by Doctorate from Biochemical Engineering Research and Process Development Centre, Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh. His area of research was Enzyme fermentation and Industrial Process Development. 

Avinash has 15+  years of experience spread across Consulting, Investment banking and Private Equity. He focusses on FMCG, food & beverages and agribusiness sectors and has led several assignments on growth/ diversification strategy, sales and distribution strategy & execution, loyalty and channel engagement, digital maturity assessment, project feasibility, market assessment, business plans, and fund raising.

Goldie is a Chartered Accountant and Law graduate with 20 years of experience in advising companies on government policies and economic legislations, such as foreign investment, exchange control, corporate laws, and employment laws.

Goldie has assisted foreign companies in setting up operations in India, including advising on investment structures and business and operational models, obtaining approvals and licenses from central and state governments, and undertaking day-to-day compliances.

He also advises on sector-specific policies and has worked across sectors, including telecom, media, technology, consumer, pharma and health care, financial services, education, and manufacturing, such as “Make in India” policy, mapping central and state government approvals, licenses, incentives, and compliances.
