An Interactive Session on "Combating Illicit Trade: Strengthening Enforcement and Policy Responses" was organised by FICCI CASCADE on 25th April 2026 in Goa.
The session aimed to deliberate on the growing scale of illicit trade in India, assess its multifaceted impact on the economy and society, and explore robust enforcement mechanisms and policy interventions to address this challenge. It brought together senior government officials, enforcement agencies, and esteemed Think Tank members to exchange perspectives and discuss collaborative strategies to curb illicit trade. The deliberations underscored the need for stronger inter-agency coordination, greater public awareness, technological advancements, and regulatory frameworks to protect consumers, support legitimate businesses, and strengthen the country’s economic security.
