On 16 April 2026, the MP ODOP Pragati Summit 2026 was held in Shivpuri, showcasing the district's renowned Shivpuri (Badarwas) Jacket, a product that reflects the region's rich textile craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit. The event served as a collaborative platform for artisans, manufacturers, designers, industry experts and government stakeholders to deliberate on strengthening the district's apparel ecosystem. Discussions focused on product diversification, design innovation, branding, quality improvement, digital marketing and expanding market access to enhance the competitiveness of local enterprises. The summit also highlighted the significance of preserving traditional craftsmanship while aligning products with evolving consumer preferences and contemporary fashion trends. By bringing together key stakeholders from across the value chain, the event encouraged knowledge exchange, collaboration and business linkages aimed at creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local artisans and MSMEs. As the Industry Partner, FICCI facilitated meaningful industry interactions and supported efforts to promote the Shivpuri Jacket as a distinctive regional product with growing national market potential. The initiative reaffirmed FICCI's commitment to strengthening district-level industrial clusters and advancing the objectives of the One District One Product (ODOP) programme across Madhya Pradesh.
