As part of FICCI’s initiatives under the Manufacturing Excellence priority areas, FICCI organised a virtual webinar in collaboration with McKinsey & Company on the World Economic Forum (WEF) Lighthouse Certification on 16 June 2026.

The objective of the webinar was to facilitate and strengthen industry engagement towards establishing World Economic Forum (WEF) Lighthouse Factories across sectors, thereby accelerating the adoption of advanced manufacturing practices, digital transformation, and global operational excellence.

The session provided industry participants with insights into the WEF Lighthouse framework, the certification journey, and the pathways for successful adoption. Experts from McKinsey & Company shared perspectives on the fundamentals of the WEF Lighthouse Certification, its benefits, and the impact achieved by Lighthouse facilities. The session also included an overview of the Lighthouse governance model, a walkthrough of the certification process, and guidance on key considerations for organisations aspiring to qualify as WEF Lighthouse facilities.
