Indian Industry has an increasingly played important role in providing the armed forces with top of the technology intensive platforms, weapons and equipment that they need. A number of initiatives have been set into motion by government in the past few years for meeting the military procurement and logistic needs.
Indian Navy has been in forefront in indigenization of its platforms, systems and weapons. In the field of indigenous development of naval armaments. To take the Indian Navy initiative to next level, FICCI in association with Indian Navy are organizing an International Seminar on ‘Make in India’ Paradigm - Roadmap for a Future Ready Naval Force on April 18-19, 2016 at FICCI, Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi. The objective of the seminar is to bring forward modernisation and development agendas of Indian Navy to make the best of the capabilities and how to focus on the future requirements.
FICCI and Indian Navy will also release a Knowledge Paper and Compendium on ‘Futuristic Naval Technologies’ which will contain technical papers from the officers of Indian Navy. Strategic Analysts and industry captains.
The participation would include stakeholders and decision makers from Indian Armed Forces, Ministry of Defence, Think Tanks, Research Institutions and Industry Leaders from Foreign OEM’s and Indian Defence Industry. Coinciding with the seminar, a poster display is also being organized to facilitate the demonstration of industrial capabilities and product range to the key decision makers.
