FICCI has set up a sectoral Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion for steering its agenda towards enabling Diversity and inclusion work policies across India Inc. Being the voice of the Indian Industry, FICCI has been instrumental in bringing about many policy changes through several active committees representing various sectors of the Indian economy.

The D&I Task Force endeavours to ensure that Indian corporates have inclusive organizational policies in their companies with enough gender diversity, inclusion of people with disabilities as well as representation from the LGBTQI+ community.


With representation of senior industry leaders and CHROs/ D&I experts from private sector, NGOs and other policy influencers, this group being mentored by Dr Jyotsna Suri, Past President, FICCI and Chairperson and Managing Director, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group and it is co-chaired by Ms Radhika Piramal, Executive Director & Vice Chairperson, VIP Industries and Mr Keshav Suri, Executive Director, Bharat Hotels Ltd. & Founder, Keshav Suri Foundation. For focused planning and action, this task force has sub-groups on the three priority areas i.e. Gender Parity, Empowering Persons with Disability and LGBTQ each led by a chair. Under the aegis of this Task Force, FICCI undertakes continuous engagement efforts with its industry members and other stakeholders including government, academia, opinion makers, experts etc.to build and showcase best D&I practices in the Indian private sector and bring about effective policy changes to ensure that the workplaces have an acceptable environment where people respect and recognize each other’s meritocracy over their sexual orientation, disability or gender.
