Aligned with the Government’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 and Women-Led Development, the FICCI Women Empowerment Division works with industry and key stakeholders to strengthen women’s economic participation and create an enabling ecosystem for women to enter, remain and progress in the workforce.
The Division focuses on three key priority areas: women’s participation in the workforce, the Care Economy, and skilling and employment of women. Through industry engagement, policy advocacy, knowledge-sharing and collaborative initiatives, it seeks to address barriers to women’s workforce participation and promote scalable, industry-led solutions.
A key focus is on skilling and employability, with initiatives aimed at identifying emerging skill gaps and facilitating targeted training to enhance women’s employability and readiness for the workforce. The Division also promotes dialogue and exchange of best practices among industry stakeholders to encourage greater investment in women’s employment, leadership and economic empowerment.
