Overview
Government of India launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) to create an ecosystem targeted towards making India a global hub of production, consumption and export of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives. MNRE has taken significant steps like awarding incentives for electrolyser manufacturing and production of Green Hydrogen; launching of pilot projects in Steel, Shipping and Mobility sector and launching R&D scheme for Green Hydrogen.
To have focused discussion on recent advances and upcoming technologies in the entire value chain of Green Hydrogen, and to bring together global scientific and industrial community, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Office of Principal Scientific Advisor to Government of India in association with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Department of Science and Technology is organizing the second edition of International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2024) from 11th - 13th September 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The 3-day mega event will feature plenary sessions, expert panel discussions, technical deliberations, and a sprawling exhibition, pivoted around establishing Green Hydrogen ecosystem and catalysing a systemic approach for meeting the aspirational Indian goal of producing 5 MMT Green Hydrogen by 2030. Apart from domain specific research interactions on hydrogen production, storage, distribution & downstream applications, the conference will also discuss green financing, human resource upskilling and startup initiatives in this area. The three-day mega event will focus on technology, trade and exhibition.
