As India strives to achieve its ambitious goal of becoming a developed economy by 2047, the power sector plays a pivotal role in driving economic growth and ensuring energy security. To address the challenges and opportunities presented by this transformation, the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) is organizing a two-day Brainstorming Conclave on Indian Power Sector Scenario by 2047 in association with FICCI.

Coinciding with CEA's Golden Jubilee celebration, this event will provide a unique platform for industry experts, policymakers, researchers, and international organizations to discuss the future of the Indian power sector. The event will take place on October 14-15, 2024, at the JW Marriott Hotel, Aero City, New Delhi.

Key topics to be discussed include renewable energy integration and grid modernization, energy storage technologies and their applications, cross-border electricity trade and regional cooperation, consumer behavior and emerging trends in the power sector, policy and regulatory frameworks for a sustainable power sector, and technological advancements and innovations in the power sector.

By fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration, this event aims to develop a comprehensive vision for the Indian power sector by 2047. It will also serve as a platform for CEA to highlight its contributions to the development of the power sector over the past 50 years.
