Hon’ble Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya, Government of India and Member of Parliament (Porbander Constituency) and Honourable Minister Shri Arjunbhai Modhvadiya, Government of Gujarat and MLA (Porbandar) have envisioned for developing a furniture park and promoting industry-led port development in Porbandar.
To take the process further, Government of Gujarat in association with FICCI organised an interaction meeting with industry stakeholders engaged in furniture industry to deliberate on the opportunities, infrastructure requirements and future roadmap for such an initiative. The proposed Furniture Park is envisaged to support the growth of an ecosystem for the furniture industry, strengthen import-export infrastructure, and create a dedicated manufacturing and trade hub for the furniture industry in the Porbandar region.
