FICCI event Meghalaya Spice Festival

Event Overview & Highlights

The Meghalaya Spice Festival was organised in Mumbai to showcase the organic spice potential of Meghalaya and position the state as an emerging hub for high-value spices such as Lakadong turmeric, ginger, and black pepper. The event highlighted Meghalaya’s strong organic farming ecosystem and aimed to promote its premium spices to national and international markets while creating greater awareness among buyers, retailers, and industry stakeholders.

The festival brought together farmers, spice entrepreneurs, government representatives, and industry stakeholders from across India, providing a platform for buyer–seller interactions, product showcases, and networking opportunities. The initiative aimed to strengthen market linkages, promote value addition, and enhance income opportunities for farmers and producers from Meghalaya.

The event also facilitated dialogue on opportunities in the organic spice sector, encouraging collaboration among businesses, policymakers, and agricultural stakeholders. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry served as the Industry Partner, supporting industry engagement and fostering partnerships to promote trade, investment, and market access for Meghalaya’s organic spice sector.
