Prahlad Singh Patel to inaugurate virtual FICCI E-Tourism Conclave (29-30 July 2020)

Event to witness deliberations by global leaders, key policy makers to revive Travel & Tourism sector post COVID-19

NEW DELHI, 25 July 2020: Mr Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (I/C), Govt of India, will inaugurate the two-day 'FICCI e-Tourism Conclave: Travel & Hospitality What's Next' on 29^th July 2020.

 

From the beginning of the lock down earlier this year, the FICCI Tourism Committee has been actively engaging with the government to request for relief measures and necessary support for the survival of the industry. The Committee has also reached out to the industry stakeholders through committee meetings to brainstorm on the measures needed for survival, revival, and the way forward for the Industry to thrive in the post COVID era.

 

In continuation to this, FICCI is organizing the Tourism E-Conclave on July 29-30, 2020 with a vision to bring together global thought leaders and key policy makers from the Travel & Tourism industry under one virtual platform to ideate, interact and share knowledge. The Conclave will create an opportunity for the participants to plan, promote, market, strategize and implement the best practices to revive the business in the sector, post COVID-19.

The speakers will deliberate on topics like Future of Travel & Tourism: What lies Ahead; Traveling with the Pandemic: A different Perspective; Role of Technology & Innovation to revive Travel & Tourism & Emergence of New Workforce model; Change in consumer expectation & leveraging the same for demand creation and many more.

 

A special session on, Spotlight on hidden tourism jewels of India : Exploring the unexplored tourism potentials will be discussed focusing Chhattisgarh (Theme state) and Odisha (Partner state). Both the states have already opened their various tourist destinations. 

 

The conclave will also have a special valedictory session comprising of State Tourism Ministers and Industry leaders.
