Confederation of Indian Food Trade and Industry (CIFTI)

The "Confederation of Indian Food Trade and Industry (CIFTI)" serves as the apex body representing India's food trade and industry. Established in 1985 by the "Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)", CIFTI was created to address the specific needs, issues, and concerns of the food industry at various national and international forums.

Since its inception, CIFTI-FICCI has been a key facilitator for the Indian food sector, offering a wide array of services and support. These include addressing quality concerns, interpreting food laws, and advocating for industry requirements to streamline the processed food sector. CIFTI also works closely with both the Government and the private sector to promote and develop the food processing industry on a global scale.

As a knowledge hub for the food processing sector, CIFTI-FICCI provides unmatched expertise and information services. It also ensures active collaboration with its members, offering institutional support and driving key initiatives for the advancement of the industry.

CIFTI is governed by an Executive Committee comprising senior officials and leaders from the food trade and industry, ensuring its vision and activities remain industry-focused and impactful.
