With a rich resource base, UP is the Country’s 3rd largest economy, contributing nearly 8% to national GDP. The state has India’s largest consumer base with a population size of nearly 24 Cr. UP has a major advantage of demographic dividend (56% of its population size under the working age group), which will be a key driver for future growth.
Uttar Pradesh is now proudly placed 2nd on the EoDB rankings under the Business Reforms Action Plan of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The remarkable jump of 10 positions in ease of doing business rankings over the last 3 years clearly explains the tremendous efforts put in by the Govt of UP to readily transform the investment climate in the State.
The State Government’s proactive initiatives and investment-friendly policies have created a favorable investment climate. Through these transparent policies and reforms, the State of Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a leading investment destination in India. Not only does the State provide attractive incentives but also ensures a single window clearance via the Nivesh Mitra portal and complete assistance to the business community, thereby making their dreams into reality
Policy Reforms at the State Level: UPSC helps the State Government in identifying various areas where further room for reforms is possible and plays a pivotal role in giving industry feedback on these areas through various state-level activities. UPSC is a member of numerous State Level Advisory Committees & regularly provides inputs & suggestions on industry-related issues & concerns to Govt. of UP.
Facilitate Investments: Through its various activities, the state council encourages member and non-member companies to invest in growing and priority sectors in Uttar Pradesh.
Industry-Focused / Industry-Strengthening Activities: Encourages and helps local enterprises to globalize and connect them with overseas industry players through Seminars, Conferences, and Industry meetings. Also drives state-level industrial activity agenda with the help of member companies.
Drives National Agenda: UPSC also works as an extended arm of FICCI head office and facilitates logistics arrangement, event promotion, and government participation for head office-driven activities.
Value Added Services for Members: Providing Value Added Services like Industry / Council meetings, ATA carnet, VISA facilitation and economic data services etc.
