Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh & General MM Narawane inaugurated 'FICCI Defence Industry Equipment Display to BIMSTEC Nations' at PANEX-21, CME, Pune

PUNE, 21 December 2021: Mr Rajnath Singh, Hon'ble Raksha Mantri accompanied by General MM Naravane, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Army Staff today inaugurated the Defence Equipment Display to BIMSTEC Nations at College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune.
The equipment display is being organised by FICCI, jointly with the Indian Army from December 21-22, 2021 at Pune, concurrent to PANEX-21: a multilateral and multi-agency exercise of the BIMSTEC member countries.
The other key dignitaries included the Lt Gen JS Nain, AVSM, SM, GOC-in-C, Southern Command, Pune (host of Panex-21) and Air Marshal Vikram Singh VSM, AOC-in-C, South Western Air Command besides the military contingents from BIMSTEC Nations.
The equipment display by Indian defence industry and R&D establishments showcased more than 350+ indigenous products covering Guns and Artillery Systems, Small Arms and Munitions; Surveillance and Communication Equipment; Body Protection Armour and Personal Protection Equipment; Simulators; System Engineering. New product showcase included Artillery - Mounted Gun System (MGS) 155mm 39 Cal and India's 1st boot anti-mine and Bomb Suits.
On this occasion a Defence industry capability catalogue compiled by FICCI was released by Raksha Mantri. The catalogue captures more than 350+ Indian defence products of large and small industry, academia and research that are ready for exports to friendly foreign nations.

Forge Limited, ZEN Technologies Limited, DRDO, Economic Explosives Limited,
SMPP Private Limited, Troop Comforts Limited, Adani PLR Systems etc. The
display also had representations by start-ups like Asteria Aerospace, Raphe
mPhibir, RK & Sons showcasing their capabilities.
