FICCI with Tata Strategic Management Group has done a survey on advance manufacturing where it is found that over 90% of the survey respondents consider at least one of the advanced manufacturing trends relevant for their businesses. IIOT consisting of hyper-connectivity and faster analysis of large data is seen as the most relevant trend. Additive manufacturing or 3D printing and advanced robotics emerge as second and third most relevant factors. Augmented Reality that overlays information on physical world view emerges as the least relevant of the lot.
