FICCI Report on Non-Tariff Barriers

Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs) are the restrictions faced by exporters in foreign markets in the form of various regulatory barriers, quotas, and restrictions. Many countries impose such restrictions to protect their domestic industries thereby creating unfair competition and restricting the access of foreign players in their market.

To identify the restrictions being faced by Indian exporters in the various foreign markets, FICCI prepared a report on “Non-Tariff Barriers” being faced by Indian exporters in regions/countries such as ASEAN, Japan, Korea, Australia, UAE, GCC, Canada, EU, the UK, Africa, and Latin America. The study also includes suggestions and recommendations for remedial steps.

The report has been prepared basis the inputs and feedback received from the industry members.
