Overview

FICCI is mounting a Business Delegation to the East Africa Investment Forum & Trade Exhibition (on the sidelines of 19th NAM & Third South Summits / G77 Summit) from 14th - 19th January 2024 in Kampala, Uganda. 

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Group of 77 (G77) are platforms for developing countries to collaborate and voice their concerns on issues of mutual interest. The 2024 NAM summit will be held in Uganda, with the theme "Deeper cooperation in Trade, Tourism and Investment for shared global affluence". 

Dr. S. Jaishankar, Indian External Affairs Minister is expected to travel for this high-level summit. 

FICCI’s Key MOU Partner The Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is the regional apex body of the private sector, hosting the East Africa Investment Forum & Trade Exhibition from 15th- 18th January 2024 at the Serena Hotel in Kampala, Uganda to explore continental and global trends and showcase investment opportunities and present viable projects ready for investment to East African, African, and international investors. 

The Exhibition will have a robust footfall of 500+ delegates as well as ministers, senior government officials, industry leaders, potential investors, and financial institutions. The summit will facilitate B2B engagements, joint ventures & partnerships.

Key sectors of Indian interest are Agriculture, Manufacturing, IT & ITES, Healthcare and Pharma, Textiles, Services, Banking and Fintech, Manufacturing, Education and Skills Development, & Homeland Security, Renewable Energy, amongst others.
