The North Eastern Region comprising the eight states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura and surrounded by 5300 kms of international border, is India's gateway to South East Asia and is central to India's Act East Policy. Befittingly, the Hon'ble Prime Minister refers to the region as Ashtalakshmi.

The region holds great potential for investment and trade in several sectors which are yet to be fully explored. In recent years, the Government of India along with the State Governments has undertaken major initiatives to enable the region to achieve its full economic potential.

Taking advantage of the immense opportunities in the region, many national and multinational companies have already made significant investments in the region. In order to provide impetus to the next phase of economic development in the region, the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDONER) has been organising various roadshows and roundtables across major cities in India.

In continuation with the ongoing efforts, MDoNER is organising an MoU signing event of the North East Investors Summit, with FICCI as the Industry partner, on 6th March 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This event will be addressed by the Hon'ble Minister of Development of North Eastern Region Shri G. Kishan Reddy.

Furthermore, to facilitate business discussion between States and interested companies, dedicated one to one Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings will be held preceding the MoU signing event. Senior officials from the eight State Governments of North East Region will be available for B2G interactions to understand the business interests of participating companies and facilitate support required from the State Governments.
