The Cannes Film Festival stands as a beacon of cinematic excellence, a vibrant celebration of creativity, artistry, and innovation in the world of film. Each year, filmmakers, actors, producers, and cinephiles from around the globe gather on the sun-kissed French Riviera to indulge in a whirlwind of screenings, premieres, and industry events. It serves as a platform for both established auteurs and emerging talents to showcase their cinematic masterpieces, pushing the boundaries of storytelling and visual expression. Cannes serves a vital role in shaping the future of cinema, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and cultural exchange among diverse voices from every corner of the world.

 

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India with the support of FICCI along with National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) is organizing Bharat (India) Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival 2024.

 

 

The Bharat Pavilion provides an international showcase of Indian cinema from different regions, promotes ease of film shooting and incentivizes co-production between India and the world. The theme of India Pavilion this year is “Create In India” and there will be a significant presence of Senior Government officials, Producers, distributors, prominent creative artists, and business leaders from India.

 

 

The Bharat Pavilion will witness knowledge sessions, thematic roundtables, G2G/B2B meetings, networking cocktail evenings, film launches, etc. to discuss the best practices followed for promotion of cinema, film making and marketing and exploring avenues of possible collaboration with India.
