Interactive session on National Pension System (NPS) for Corporates

Overview

The inception of National Pension System (NPS) through the Pension Fund Regulatory & Development Authority (PFRDA) in 2004 marked a significant shift towards a defined contribution pension system. The National Pension System (NPS) has been implemented for all Government Employees (except armed forces) mandatory entering the Central Government workforce on or after 1st January 2004. Most of the State/UT Governments have also adopted the NPS mandatory for their employees. NPS was extended to all citizens of India on a voluntary basis w.e.f. 1st May, 2009 and in December 2011, to enable Corporates in private sector to adopt NPS as a retirement benefit scheme for their employees, NPS Corporate Sector Model was introduced.

Against this backdrop, FICCI Rajasthan State Council, in association with Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), is organizing an Interactive session on National Pension System (NPS) for Corporates from 1500 - 1730 hrs on Friday, 9th August 2024 (followed by Networking High Tea) at Hotel Radisson Blu, Durgapura, Tonk Road, Jaipur.

The following topics will be covered in the Session:

• Importance of Retirement Planning and Role of Employers
• How would NPS help Employees to Efficiently Plan their Retirement
• Understanding NPS as Pension Scheme /Benefits of NPS to Employees and Employers
• Tax Implications on Retirement Planning

Mr Deepak Mohanty, Chairperson, PFRDA would deliver the Keynote Address at the programme.

There is no delegate fee for the programme, however, prior registration is necessary.
