Today, the Private sector defence industries are striving towards enhancing their participation in defence contracts from the current 25% to 50% of annual domestic defence production by 2030. Given the location, facilities, infrastructure, and availability of various manufacturing units in Rajasthan, the state is aptly positioned to contribute significantly to the overall vision of Atmanirbharta in Raksha Utpadan.

 

In order to realise such a vision, The South Western Command - Gyan Shakti Think Tank - FICCI are set to conduct a Seminar on the topic of "Atmanirbharta in Defence Manufacturing: Opportunities in Rajasthan" on 11 November 2024 at 0900 Hrs at Sapt Shakti Auditorium, South Western Command, Jaipur Military Station, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The seminar will bring together speakers from some of the leading Tier 1 defence industries and MSMEs in India, along with senior government officers from the Rajasthan government and senior military leadership and veterans, to deliberate on creating avenues for investment and defence manufacturing capabilities in the state.
