Agri finance plays a vital and significant role in propelling the agrarian sector towards greater prosperity, inclusive growth, and overall socio-economic development. However, there are enormous challenges in achieving these goals and it requires concerted efforts by all the stakeholders. Hence, FICCI has taken the initiative to form a Task Force on Agri Finance to ultimately enable an enhanced flow of Agri credit in India.

The key objectives of the task force are to bring together various stakeholders in the agricultural sector for: 

• facilitating exchange of knowledge and innovative ideas by fostering regular dialogue/ interactions 
• enhancing outreach to create visibility on key issues and challenges 
• shaping evidence-based policy and regulatory framework through proactive advocacy
