The Urban Infrastructure & Smart Cities Committee has been set up by merging the FICCI Urban Infrastructure Committee and FICCI Task Force on Smart Cities. The committee comprises industry members from different areas such as urban infrastructure, information & communication technology, geospatial technologies, energy, homeland security, housing, manufacturing, infrastructure and academia.
- Work with Government at the center to create an enabling framework for private sector to partner with Government in development of smart cities.
- To advocate to the Government about policies, contracts that need to be formulated for various areas in accomplishing the objectives of smart city development.
- To look at activities/programmes that would bring States and cities together to ideate and review progress on smart city development.
