The FICCI Helicopter Taskforce is a steering committee consisting of representatives from the PAWAN HANS LIMITED (PHL), a Central Government Public Enterprise under Ministry of Civil Aviation and senior industry members. The Taskforce envisions development of new heliports / helipads in the cities where the development of airport is not viable due to low traffic potential and scarcity of land. It emphasis interactions with State Government to provide ecosystem by way of various concessions and viability gap funding to promote regional connectivity routes. The key focus of the Taskforce is to increase general civil aviation particularly helicopters, seaplane, gliders and balloon industry promotion, skill development, MRO, Infrastructure such as heliports & helipads and Investment between India and abroad.
