Accountability in Healthcare
The current scenario of rising trust deficit between patients and their healthcare providers is calling for the healthcare industry to look inwards and work towards self-regulation in both- medical ethics and business ethics. It is important that all healthcare providers follow a basic code of conduct, which strikes a balance with the code of conduct for individual doctors. Recognizing the need for transparency and accountability in the functioning of all healthcare establishments, the Task Force has developed FICCI Code of Ethics for the Health Services Industry which was released during FICCI HEAL 2018 by Shri J P Nadda, Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of India
