Strategies to strengthen number specialist doctors in India
With the launch of Ayushman Bharat- PMJAY- the precursor to UHC in India, the demand for doctors, specifically specialists is deemed to escalate. The Task Force has submitted recommendations to the government on improving the number of specialist doctors in India, through optimal use of existing resources and identifying alternate mechanism to train and recognize specialist doctors and will further work on key aspects of training specialist doctors.
